Rabbi Robin and EliCelebrating Our Pets

Sunday, October 15, 10:00 a.m.

Join us on for a celebration of our beloved pets, preceding the Shabbat when we read the story of Noah and the Ark.

All adults and children in the TEMV community are invited to bring their furry, scaly, or feathery family members to our lawn for a short ceremony featuring songs and special blessings honoring our beloved animal friends. We’ll even offer prayers for our pets who are not well, or who have crossed the rainbow bridge. Stuffed lovies are also welcome!

Religious school will continue immediately after. (Parents will then be welcome to bring pets home if they wish.)

Sukkah Disassembly

Sunday, October 15, 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers (four to six people) are needed to disassemble and store the Sukkah under the stairs. It should take only 30 to 45 minutes. All helpers welcome!

Challah-palooza

Sunday, October 22, 9 a.m. until the loaves are done (~6 hours)

Please join us for a day of challah baking at TEMV! Whether you’ve never made a loaf before, do so weekly, or just want to try a new braid, we’ll have a great time baking together. While the loaves are rising, we’ll shelve books in the library, have lunch, or go do errands. Please see further details here and RSVP to Dana by October 18. If you can only come later, that’s fine. Let us know and we’ll get some dough started early for you!
