A special thanks to our Opening and Dedication guests the Meetinghouse Ringers Handbell Choir of the First Parish Unitarian Church; Barry Shapiro and Eugene Rothman, who provided extra musical accompaniment; and those from the greater Lowell community, including members of the City Council, leaders of other faith communities, and members of the Lowell Police Department (who have in the past come by our building on patrol, but this time joined us simply to celebrate).
Shabbat Services
Friday, February 15, 2019, 7:30 p.m. Board host: Robin Frisch Oneg hosts: Frank and Leslie Baskin. We are trying a new format for oneg this week. Our hosts will bring a challah and do set up and clean up, but we ask that everyone else also bring something to share. We’re now at our new space in downtown Lowell: 151 Warren St., Suite 200 (on the #2 LRTA Bus Route) Directions and parking. 
Note that our intercom and camera is now installed! When you arrive at 151 Warren St., press the rectangular silver button, right above where it says 200 TEMV, and someone will unlock the door from upstairs.
Rabbi Sparr Office Hours
Rabbi Sparr will be holding office hours Tuesday morning, Thursday afternoon, and Friday afternoon this week. Appointments must be made in advance by contacting her at rabbi@temv.org or during business hours at 508-736-5555. In an emergency or urgent need, do phone at any hour.

Extra Food Donations Needed
Please contribute to our food collections so that the food pantry in Lowell can have enough food to distribute to families that may have been impacted by the recent Federal government shutdown. –Frank Baskin, Social Action Chair

Jewish Climate Action Network Conference
Join the Jewish Climate Action Network for The Second Jewish Climate Conference: The Time Is Short, the Task is Great, on Sunday, March 24, from 12:30-7:30 p.m. at Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington St., in Newton. The conference will provide a comprehensive overview of opportunities for pathways forward in the coming years. Participants can attend workshops led by renewable energy experts, rabbis, educators, artists, and food and sustainability experts. Subject areas include: sustainable buildings, advocacy and justice, spirituality and psychology, food, gardens, communication, and more. JCAN is excited to be partnering with the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, Beantown Jewish Gardens, LimmudBoston, and Temple Reyim in bringing this conference to the Jewish community. During the time of transition into our new space, please email mahjong@temv.org if you would like to play, so that we may tell you where we are meeting. We are flexible as to dates and times based on the availability of those who wish to play.
Food and Toiletry Collection
There is a box in the TEMV lobby for non-perishable food and toiletry items, to be donated to the Lowell Transitional Living Center.
