In support of the Global Climate Strike planned for September 20 across our country, TEMV will livestream our Erev Shabbat Service from the TEMV Facebook page at 7:30 p.m., eliminating the need for any of us to drive, or for us to turn on lights or use air conditioning at TEMV, thus reducing our carbon emissions. There will be no services held at TEMV’s physical location.

In the true spirit of Shabbat, you are invited to relax at home (or perhaps gather with nearby friends) and tune in for a special Shabbat service focused on guarding and caring for our precious home and beautiful planet.

The work of tikkun olam — repairing the world — can sometimes feel overwhelming. When we look around, it’s easy to see so many places where our voices and hands are needed. It has long been a priority at TEMV to strive for justice — economic, educational, racial, and environmental — and holding this virtual service is one way to support that.

Visit the Global Climate Strike website to learn more.

Looking forward to seeing you on Facebook at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow!
