ShofarOur Yom Kippur services start tonight and we welcome anyone to join us. Here are the details, along with information about a few other TEMV happenings this week.

As always, TEMV maintains its long-standing tradition of open and free seating during the High Holidays. Every year, we open our doors to anyone who wants to attend, selling no tickets, with no reserved seating. We use the Central Conference of American Rabbi’s new Mishkan HaNefesh (“Sanctuary of the Soul”) as our mahzor (High Holiday prayer book).

Following the morning service volunteers will take down chairs in the back half of the sanctuary and set up tables for the break fast. Consider lending them a hand so it doesn’t take long or interfere with the flow of the afternoon services or mood of the day. Thank you in advance.

Pot-Luck Break-the-Fast Dinner

Everyone is invited to break the fast with good food and company. Because of the lateness of the Break Fast we ask that you only bring food which can be served cold, or does not require reheating. Please contact breakfast@temv.org to RSVP or if you have any questions.

Annual High Holy Day Food Collection

TEMV is continuing its long standing tradition of collecting food for the Lowell Mobile Food Pantry during the High Holidays. Remember to bring in a bag of non-persishable food for people or their pets the next time you are at the temple. The bags will be collected shortly after Yom Kippur.
