New Member Shabbat Service

Friday, November 4th

6pm Potluck dinner for all

(Note the early start time!)

Parashat Noach

Featuring the 1st Parish Unitarian Universalist Chelmsford Church Bell Choir—a special treat not to be missed. We will welcome and bless all who have joined our community over the last year, celebrate Shabbat with a short service, and be treated to a concert by the UU Bell Choir.

Volunteers appreciated to help with set up and clean up are most welcome.

Celebrating Our Pets

Saturday, November 5th  at 10:00am

We will celebrate our dear pets on the Shabbat when we read the story of Noah and the Ark. Everyone is invited to bring their furry, scaly, or feathery family members to our lawn for a short ceremony featuring Shabbat songs and prayers and a special blessing honoring our beloved animal friends. Stuffed lovies are also welcome!

Shabbat Morning Service

Saturday, November 5th, 10:30am

Including reading of Torah, text study of Parashat Noah and a bagel kiddush.

Oneg Host – looking for a volunteer.

Lunch Bag Assembly 

Sunday, November 6, 9:30am  – Remember to set your clocks BACK one hour! 

All are welcome and encouraged to assist—this is a TEMV community event. Bagged lunches are assembled and delivered  to the Lowell Transitional Living Center.

These donations can be brought in any time and left in the kitchen:

  • Bottles of water
  • Jars of peanut butter
  • Jars of  jelly

This weekend bring you can bring in:

    • Loaves of sliced whole wheat bread
    • Bags of apples and/ or oranges

Religious School

Sunday, November 6, 10am – noon

Regular session. Students who wish to help with the Lunch Bag assembly are encouraged to come early to help.

Education Committee Meeting

Sunday, November 6, 11am

All are welcome—you don’t need to have a child in the school to participate. We welcome additional perspectives and ideas!

Food and Toiletry Collections

There are boxes in the lobby waiting to be filled with your generous donations. All donations go to local charities. Thank you!

Winter Clothing Collection 

There is a box in the lobby for winter clothing.  Please donate winter clothing including:

  • Coats
  • Gloves
  • Hats
  • Scarves

 

TEMV Yoga

Gentle yoga – Monday 8:30am.  (No class Monday, November 7.)

Yoga – Wednesday6:30pm.

Please bring a mat.   $7 for the teacher and a $3 donation to the temple.

Mah Jong

Tuesdays, 6pm and Thursdays, 1pm.

As long as at least 3 people commit to being there, we play. All levels of players including beginners are welcome. We love introducing and teaching the game to new players. Please email mahjong@temv.org – to tell us whether you are coming.  Join the Mah Jong email to keep updated about cancellation by emailing  mahjongg-join@temv.org.
