There’s a lot going on this week, including Lunch Bag Assembly for the Lowell Transitional Living Center, youth ice skating (6th grade and up), and of course, Shabbat services.

Lunch Bag Assembly

Sunday, January 8, 9:30am

Everyone is encouraged to help assemble lunches for the Lowell Transitional Living Center. This is a TEMV community event.

Bring in loaves of whole wheat bread and fresh fruit (apples or oranges) this weekend. Granola bars, peanut butter, jelly and bottled water are also always appreciated.

Some members have been making fleece and knitted hats to hand out with the lunches. If you have hats or other winter accessories to contribute please bring them this weekend.

Youth Ice Skating for 6th Graders and Up

 

Sunday, January 8, 1:30 to 3:00pm

Please come this Sunday afternoon for ice skating at the Chelmsford Forum right off Route 3 at 2 Brick Kiln Road, North Billerica. Skating is $5 and skate rentals are an additional $5. The snack bar should be open too! Hope to see you there! RSVP to Sue so that we know to look for you, but please feel free to just stop by!

Adult Education

Check out our potential Adult Ed offerings and submit your preferences. Rabbi Sparr will offer classes based on our responses.

TEMV Snow Ball

Saturday, January 14, 8 pm – 11 pm

The social event of the season! The Bar Chords are returning for another dance. Music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Tickets $25 in advance, $30 at the door. $50/couple — $75 max/family

There are boxes in the lobby waiting to be filled with your generous donations.  All donations go to local charities. Thank you!

Winter Clothing Collection

There is a box in the lobby for winter clothing. Please donate winter clothing including:

  • Coats
  • Gloves
  • Hats
  • Scarves

TEMV Yoga

Gentle yoga: Monday, 8:30am

Attendance at this class has been low recently. If you wish to attend yoga on Monday morning, please contact Cornelia at yogainfo@temv.org preferably by Sunday afternoon. If at least three people say they are coming she will let you know. Please leave your phone number—preferably a cell phone number—in your email.

Yoga: Wednesday, 6:30pm

Please bring a mat. $7 for the teacher and a $3 donation to the temple.

Mah Jong

Tuesdays, 6pm and Thursdays, 1pm

As long as at least three people commit to being there, we play. All levels of players including beginners are welcome. We love introducing and teaching the game to new players.
