Annual Meeting
Sunday, May 19, at 2:00 p.m. All members are invited to attend the TEMV Annual Meeting. We want to hear what makes TEMV a meaningful place for you and hear your thoughts on future priorities for our temple. There will also be an election for our new Board of Trustees, a vote on next year’s budget, and updates on some of the exciting programs and events we have in store as we approach our 70th anniversary.
2018-19 Pledges Due
Any outstanding pledges for 2018-19 were due by April 30, the end of our fiscal year. You may pay online, or contact Phebe, treasurer@temv.org. Pledge forms for FY 2019-20 will be available shortly.
Hebrew Reading Classes
May 16 and 30, and June 6, 7:00 p.m. Hebrew Reading classes have resumed, using the workbook Aleph isn’t Tough. We will be picking up at chapter 7. If you have not been in this class but would like to jump in for a refresher, please be in touch with Rabbi Sparr to confirm your attendance.

LGBTQ Pride Shabbat for All
Friday, May 31, 2019 Please celebrate with us as we head into the weekend of LGBTQ Pride in Lowell.
- 5:30 p.m. Tot Shabbat for families with young children, led by Rabbi Robin Sparr. We will also read an LGBTQ-inclusive children’s book as part of the service
- 6 p.m. Oneg reception with pizza and treats for both Tot Shabbat and Erev Shabbat attendees
- 6:30 p.m. Erev Shabbat Pride Service led by Rabbi Robin Sparr. All are welcome!
TEMV Tot Tales
June 2, 16, and 23, 10:30 am – 11:30 a.m. And dates to be announced in July, August, and September A joyous hour of music and movement followed by a story and craft for children under 5 years old and their caregivers. Facilitated by TEMV President and child development expert Robin Frisch.

Volunteer to Host an Oneg
Please email oneg@temv.org with your preferred dates. We ask all members to sign up to host twice. You just need to bring a challah and help with setup and cleanup. Other foods are potluck. It’s one simple way to help the community! Please also see our full calendar of events.
Mah Jong
Are you interested in playing or learning to play Mah Jong? If so, contact mahjong@temv.org with your availability (days of the week and time). Beginners are always welcome and temple membership is not a prerequisite. We are always open to suggestions for other games as well!
Food and Toiletry Collection
There is a box in the TEMV lobby for non-perishable food and toiletry items, to be donated to the the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and Lowell Transitional Living Center.
