Hamilton currently serves as Lowell site director and director of partner engagement at the International Institute of New England (IINE), a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants.

Hamilton will explore why immigrants come to the United States, how they gain entry, and what happens after they arrive. She will also discuss services provided by IINE and what kind of actions we as individuals can take. She will be joined by a recent immigrant who will share their story as well.

Hanuka Program with Peace Islands Institute

Sunday, December 17, 10:30 a.m. SHARP to 1:00 p.m.

Many of you will remember the wonderful guests from Peace Island Institute who visited TEMV with gifts of food, insight, and friendship during Ramadan this past spring. The TEMV community obligated ourselves to reciprocate, and have committed to doing so on Sunday, December 17. We’ll have a range of activities, including song, dance, and discussion led by Rabbi Robin and a kids’ craft activity led by Sue Cornelliusen. We’ll follow that with an integrated dairy/vegetarian meal. Please join us for this joyous celebration of friendship. We need people to bring food and menorahs — please contact Sue with what you will provide. Location will be sent upon RSVP.
