Leave-taking Ritual and Ritual Committee Meeting
Monday, October 22, 7:00 p.m.
Our Ritual Committee will meet this Monday at 101 West Forest Street. All are welcome.
At the conclusion of our meeting, around 8:00 pm, Rabbi Sparr will conduct a short ritual of leave-taking (similar to that shared at this past Shabbat service), and all present will be invited to share a one-minute memory, and to serve as a Shomer/Shomeret (guardian) of one item marked to move to the new space by taking it home, caring for and treasuring it, and then returning it as a “gift” to our new space when we move in in a few weeks.
Finally, we will remove all of the mezuzot from the temple doorways (these are among the items that might be brought home for safekeeping) and say a closing blessing.
We look forward to seeing you, and having you participate in our continuing journey.
Social Action Committee Meeting
Thursday, October 25, 7:00 p.m.
All welcome. At 101 W. Forest St., but subject to change. In case the location changes, please let Frank know if you plan to attend so he can let you know.
